PUBLIC HEARING - REZONING REQUEST - WED. 9/8

When and Where: Tonight - 9/8/04 at 7:30pm at the Clay Township Hall
What: The purpose of the hearing will be to receive comments relating to the proposed rezoning from C-3, General Business to RM, Multiple Family Residential for the property at 5555 Green Drive, (which is Island Yacht Club and Art Cook Marine Services). The Applicant is Di Ponio & Sons LLC of Hartland, Michigan.
Who: The applicant, Di Ponio & Sons will speak first, the public will then have an opportunity to express their comments to the commission. Any letters previously submitted to the the Township will be read aloud. The applicant can then address or respond to comments. The planning commssion will vote at their next meeting.
We will try to attend this evening to keep you aprised of the situation

HARSENSISLAND.COM PHOTO CONTEST

Harsensisland.com is sponsoring a monthly photo contest which began July 1st. Submit your Harsens Island photo (information provided below) by August 15th for the August Contest and September 15th for the September contest, photos will be displayed and voted upon by our readers, there will be a First Place winner, Second Place winner and an honorable mention. Winners will be announced by the 30th of each month and will receive prizes of $25.00 for 1st place and $10.00 for 2nd place as well as being displayed on the harsensisland.com website throughout the summer.

The Harsensisland.com website averages hundreds of visits per day, if you are an amateur photographer, this is the place to have your photos viewed, if you're just submitting your photo for the heck of it, it's a great place to send your family and friends to view your pics.

Harsens Island is the place to capture beautiful photos, sunsets, nature, kids, pets, families, local events, etc. PLEASE keep your photos to a G rating, any photos submitted which are not appropriate in nature will obviously be disqualified.

Here are the rules:
You must be the owner of the photo or have expressed permission to submit the photo into the contest.

Photos may be color or black and white.

Photos can be submitted either by postal mail or email.

Postal Mail: Photos will be scanned and uploaded by the harsensisland.com staff, photo quality may be diminished by this method.
Mail to: HarsensIsland.Com, P.O. Box 54, Harsens Island, MI 48028
Include: Name, Address, Phone Number, and description of photograph, i.e., location, date, subjects, events, etc.

EMAIL: Email all photos to scoop@harsensisland.com. Photos MUST be in either a jpeg or gif format no larger than 800 by 600 pixels. Please include reply email address, name and phone number, as well as a description of the photograph, i.e., location, date, subjects, events, etc. Photos submitted in a format other than jpeg or gif will not be submitted.
